KING ALAUNGMINTAYA (1752-1760)

Alaungmintaya made himself king early in 1752 and he died in 1760. In all these eighty years he was busy fighting and building an empire. King Alaungmintaya established the Royal City in Moksobo(Shwebo), his native place. He named the Capital 'Radanatheinga'. He founded Shwebo at an astrological time which yielded, not a "number of stability" (Htawara Kein), but a "number of movement"(Zingama Kein). The Royal City was in square shape. But, unlike other royal cities of Konbaung period, the palace was situated not in the centre of the city, but in the corner of the city wall.

The palace constructed by King Alaungmintaya, who established the Radanatheinga city in 1115(AD.1753).
