King
Bagyidaw (King Sagaingmin) succeeded King Badon as the
king in 1819. After ascending the throne, King Bagyidaw
did not reside long in Amarapura. In 1821, he moved
to Inwa and rebuilt the city. Bagyidaw was the king
who established the fourth royal capital in Inwa. There
is no answer to the question 'Why did Bagyidaw move
to Inwa to rebuild the city? |
