BADON ( 1782-1819 ) |
King Badon, who was also called Bodawpaya, founded
the palace two times. He founded the palace in Amarapura
in 1792 for the first time. After 18 years, the palace
burnt down and a new palace was built in 1811 for
the second time. Several historical documents on the
establishment of King Badon's royal city and palace
still exist. These historical documents are:(a) Collection
of treatises on the establishment of royal city (

Collection ); (c)Treatise on the establishment of

| Note: King Badon
moved to Amarapura (City of Immortals) and built a new
capital and a new palace there in 1782 after ascending
the throne. The new capital and the new palace burnt down
in March 1810. They were rebuilt again in October 1811. |
